When it came to making my hubby's card I was as usual in a rush and at a complete loss as to what to do. Surfing the sites I found a great sketch on the LOTV site.
I used one of their die cut image squares.

The sentiment was from their Christmas range. I was too slow to get the rubber stamp versions and this is a digital version.
I used a fiskars edge punch on both sides of a strip of silver mirror board to create the two stripes.
The image is matted on a spellbinders die.
The snowflakes were from stash and the backing paper too.
I also used the sketch to make my Dad's card for my Mother.

On this card I embossed the strips and used a Martha Stewart Corner Punch to add to the ends.
The image card was softened using a corner
punch. This allowed it to fit inside a spellbinders die cut label.
The snowflakes were made from red
pearlescent card with white
pearlescent paper flakes stuck on slightly twisted.
I added a pearl gem to the centre of each.
The sentiment was a digital
version of
LOTV sentiments.
I added a heart charm with a red ribbon
